Busy Time

Like any other time of the year it is busy. I’m trying to finish a light box for my photography work, mostly for photographing woodturning projects but also for other items i.e. eBay, flowers, 18 year old heads (sorry I digress). The light box is being made out of PVC schedule 20 & 40. Why two different kinds, because I can’t read. In retrospect when I post more on the finished product I will use the two different kinds, as a way to keep the weight down but use the schedule 40 (thicker wall) in areas that need added strength. I’m using nylon fabric from Jo Ann Fabric which is almost as expensive as the PVC, well I was surprised. Oh, my wife has decided that “we” need to make a container garden, so that means me. So far it would be much cheaper to buy the “organic” veggies at the most expensive Farmer’s Market in town, but whatever. My wife did find free compost at the county land fill which turned out to be great soil and even greater exercise shoveling, it into and out of, my F-150. I’m setting up a semi automatic watering system for our 12′ x 12′ garden, why you may ask, because I can! Woodturning has taken a back seat but that will change soon as I need to get ready for demonstrations at the Fair grounds next month. My Jamieson hollowing tool needs to be set up on my Jet 1220 so I can do some projects while I’m there. I fabricated an attachment for my small lathe so it should be interesting to see if it works with the hollowing rig. I will post pictures of my light box when finished and if anyone has suggestions or questions I would be very interested.
Ciao

There are a lot of forums that will be of help. I would start with the AAW site forum, it’s free and anyone can join. This is a great resource, but remember everyone has an opinion. 😉
